Arla Foods - Europe’s second largest dairy company - has chosen Jorgensen Engineering as the turnkey supplier for a new powder line including the newest robotics technology.

The complete line for Arla handles cans from A to Z, meaning from depalletizing empty cans to filled air evacuated and gassed cans with powder in the other end of the line. The complete line consists of processes as: Depalletizing of cans, single filing, cleaning of empty cans, including UV radiation, scoop inserting which consists of 3 robots and a vision system to provide a quick, safe and hygienic inserting of scoops in empty cans before the filling. Afterwards the powder is evacuated and gassed, which is one of Jorgensen’s core skills, to guarantee the shelf-life of the products. After gassing follows sealing and carton packing. At last the packages are palletized, ready for distribution.
The whole process is controlled by a SCADA system, which communicates with the customer’s management control system.
